The 4th Indian Open of Surfing was held at Sasihithlu Beach, Mangaluru from 1 to 3 June 2023. The three-day national surfing championship brought together more than 70 surfers from across India, with competition across Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Groms Boys U-16, and Groms Girls U-16 categories.

The 2023 edition was defined by standout teenage performances, with Tamil Nadu’s Kishore Kumar and Kamali Moorthy winning across both Open and Groms divisions at Sasihithlu Beach.
Kishore Kumar Double
Kishore Kumar won both the Men’s Open and Groms Boys U-16 categories, establishing himself as one of the strongest young surfers in the national circuit.
Kamali Moorthy Double
Kamali Moorthy won both the Women’s Open and Groms Girls U-16 titles, delivering one of the standout performances of the 2023 edition.
