The 5th Indian Open of Surfing returned to Sasihithlu Beach, Mangaluru from 31 May to 2 June 2024 as part of India’s National Surfing Championship series. The edition brought together the country’s leading surfers across Open and Groms divisions, with Tamil Nadu athletes producing a dominant title sweep.

Tamil Nadu Sweep
Tamil Nadu surfers swept the top titles across Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Groms Boys U-16, and Groms Girls U-16.
Ajeesh Ali Takes Men’s Open
Ajeesh Ali won the Men’s Open title with the highest score of the day, finishing ahead of Srikanth D and Sanjaikumar S.
Kamali Moorthi Double
Kamali Moorthi successfully defended her titles, winning both Women’s Open and Groms Girls U-16.
Tayin Arun’s First IOS Title
Tayin Arun claimed the Groms Boys U-16 title, with Harish P and Prahlad Sriram completing the podium.
